Mumbai: In an effort to spread a message of peace amid the looming threat of a global war, Vagdhara organization is set to host a one-day national seminar titled “Yudha Nahi Buddha” on April 27 at Maulana Azad Bhavan, Santacruz East.

Dr. Vagish Saraswat, President of Vagdhara, informed that the seminar is being organized under the coordination of young journalist Manisha Joshi. The session will be chaired by Virendra Yagnik. Key speakers include defense expert and Head of the Hindi Department at the University of Mumbai, Dr. Karuna Shankar Upadhyay, along with retired Indian Navy Commander Bhushan Diwan.

The event will be hosted by actor Ravi Yadav, while Dr. Vagish Saraswat will present the theme introduction. A senior journalist will present a Navgeet (modern poetic composition) on the theme of war. Poets Nandita Maji Sharma and Meenu Madan will also recite their poems reflecting on the subject.

In January 1990, Vagdhara launched its publication Udgar, which soon became a prominent name in the field of literary magazines.

In 2004, Vagdhara began organizing Holi celebrations in Mumbai, which gained immense popularity, especially due to participation from film industry personalities. These celebrations continued annually in Powai until 2016 and were widely recognized across the country through live telecasts on news channels.

In 2007, Vagdhara also launched its weekly newspaper. Since 2017, it has been organizing the Vagdhara National Awards, where individuals excelling in fields such as social service, education, cinema, medicine, theatre, dance, and music are honored by the Governor.

Additionally, Vagdhara has consistently organized seminars and festivals on various subjects. Notable events include the Goa Satire Festival, Mumbai Satire Festival, and Kala Mahotsav.
