In the dusty lanes of Garajiya village in Bhavnagar district’s Palitana taluka, Gujarat, an ordinary Maldhari farmer named Kalubhai Parmar (also referred to as Kalu Parmar) faced a trial that would test the deepest reserves of human courage and composure. What could have been a fatal encounter with a sub-adult lioness became a profound testament to the power of stillness, presence of mind, and the indomitable human spirit.

The incident unfolded on a routine morning as Parmar stepped out to feed his cattle. A lioness, which had earlier moved through the village and reportedly confronted another resident, suddenly attacked him from behind. She knocked him to the ground and pinned him down firmly, placing one of her forelegs across his body while gripping his arm. For nearly 30 agonizing minutes, Parmar lay trapped beneath the powerful animal as villagers gathered, shouting and hurling stones in desperate attempts to drive the lioness away.

Yet, in the face of primal terror, Parmar chose a path few could: he remained almost completely still. Video footage capturing the dramatic moment shows him gently patting the lioness—an instinctive act of calm rather than panic. He made no sudden movements that might have provoked a more aggressive response. “I was going to feed my cattle when the lioness suddenly attacked me from behind and pulled me down. She caught hold of my hand and did not let me go for a long time,” Parmar later recounted. His remarkable restraint allowed him to survive with injuries primarily from the lioness’s nails and grip, rather than deadly bites.

In spiritual traditions across cultures, sages and scriptures have long emphasized the strength found in inner equanimity. The Bhagavad Gita teaches the importance of performing one’s duty with a steady mind, undisturbed by fear or desire. Parmar’s response echoes this ancient wisdom: in the crucible of crisis, he embodied sthitaprajna—the one whose intellect remains unshaken. His quiet courage not only saved his own life but also highlighted the profound protective power of mental fortitude.

Villagers who rushed to the scene described the heart-stopping scene, with the lioness refusing to release her hold for an extended period. Forest officials later noted that the area is part of the Asiatic lion habitat corridor near Gir, where human-wildlife interactions are increasingly common. Parmar was initially treated at Palitana Government Hospital and later shifted to Sir T Hospital in Bhavnagar. He is reported to be out of danger.

This incident serves as a powerful reminder for all of us navigating the uncertainties of life. The fiery monk, philosopher, and chief disciple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa left his mortal body on July 4, 1902, at the young age of 39, attaining mahasamadhi at Belur Math in West Bengal.

Born Narendranath Datta on January 12, 1863, in Kolkata, Vivekananda’s journey from a questioning youth to a world-renowned spiritual leader continues to inspire millions. His iconic speech at the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Chicago in 1893, beginning with the immortal words “Sisters and brothers of America,” introduced Hindu philosophy, Vedanta, and Yoga to the Western world and established Hinduism as a major global faith.

A Life of Unparalleled Service and Vision

Vivekananda founded the Ramakrishna Mission in 1897, blending spiritual enlightenment with practical service to humanity. The Mission and its Math headquarters at Belur continue to run schools, hospitals, rural development programs, and disaster relief efforts, embodying his teaching: “Service to man is service to God.”

On the day of his passing, Vivekananda meditated for hours in the morning, taught his disciples, and discussed plans for a Vedic college. In the evening, he retired to his room and passed away while in meditation around 9:20 p.m. His disciples believe he consciously left his body by piercing the brahmarandhra, fulfilling his own prophecy that he would not live to see forty.

कहा– यह कोई वास्तविक पुस्तक नहीं है, बल्कि निर्दोष पुरुषों के खिलाफ बढ़ती हत्याओं, उत्पीड़न, शोषण, आत्महत्याओं और कानूनी चुनौतियों पर जागरूकता फैलाने का एक प्रतीकात्मक अभियान है।

मुंबई:  अवार्ड विनिंग लेखक, निर्देशक, निर्माता और सामाजिक चिंतक सोनू त्यागी, जो गो स्पिरिचुअल और एप्रोच एंटरटेनमेंट के संस्थापक हैं, ने “पत्नी, मंगेतर, गर्लफ्रेंड और फेमिनिस्ट्स से जान कैसे बचाएँ?” नाम से एक काल्पनिक (फिक्शनल) पुस्तक का कवर जारी किया है। उन्होंने बताया कि यह कोई असली किताब नहीं है, बल्कि एक रचनात्मक और प्रतीकात्मक सामाजिक जागरूकता अभियान है। इसका उद्देश्य निर्दोष पुरुषों के खिलाफ बढ़ते अपराधों, शोषण, उत्पीड़न, मानसिक तनाव और कानूनी समस्याओं की ओर समाज का ध्यान आकर्षित करना है।

सोनू त्यागी ने साफ कहा कि यह कोई वास्तविक पुस्तक नहीं है और इसे प्रकाशित करने की भी कोई योजना नहीं है। यह केवल एक काल्पनिक और व्यंग्यात्मक (सटायर) बुक कवर है, जिसे लोगों के बीच एक जरूरी सामाजिक मुद्दे पर चर्चा शुरू करने के लिए बनाया गया है।

उन्होंने कहा कि इस कवर के माध्यम से वे पुरुषों की हत्याओं, भावनात्मक शोषण, ब्लैकमेल, आर्थिक शोषण, मानसिक उत्पीड़न, कथित झूठे आरोपों, लंबी कानूनी लड़ाइयों और आत्महत्याओं जैसे गंभीर मुद्दों पर लोगों का ध्यान दिलाना चाहते हैं।

सोनू त्यागी एक पुरस्कार विजेता लेखक, निर्देशक, निर्माता, गीतकार, उद्यमी और सामाजिक चिंतक हैं। वे गो स्पिरिचुअल, एप्रोच एंटरटेनमेंट, एप्रोच कम्युनिकेशंस और एप्रोच बॉलीवुड के संस्थापक हैं।

उन्होंने मनोविज्ञान (Psychology) में स्नातक किया है तथा एडवरटाइजिंग मैनेजमेंट, पत्रकारिता और फिल्म निर्माण की शिक्षा प्राप्त की है। वे आध्यात्मिक फिल्म और वेब सीरीज़ “टू ग्रेट मास्टर्स“ के क्रिएटर और सह-निर्माता हैं, जिसमे धुरंधर के राकेश बेदी एक महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रहे हैं। जो स्वामी विवेकानंद और परमहंस योगानंद के जीवन और विचारों से प्रेरित है। वे आगामी अंतरराष्ट्रीय फिल्म लिबरेशन के सह-निर्माता भी हैं और जल्द रिलीज़ होने वाली फिल्म कैंप डिसेंट  में क्रिएटिव प्रोड्यूसर की भूमिका निभा रहे हैं, जिसमें बृजेंद्र काला, राजपाल यादव, सारा खान और हेमंत पांडेय मुख्य भूमिकाओं में नजर आएंगे।

सोनू त्यागी ने कहा, “यह कोई असली किताब नहीं है। यह सिर्फ एक काल्पनिक बुक कवर है, जिसे लोगों को सोचने और इस विषय पर चर्चा करने के लिए बनाया गया है। कई बार एक प्रभावशाली रचनात्मक संदेश उन मुद्दों पर भी लोगों का ध्यान खींच देता है, जिन पर आम तौर पर पर्याप्त चर्चा नहीं होती।“

उन्होंने यह भी स्पष्ट किया कि यह अभियान महिलाओं या नारीवाद (फेमिनिज़्म) के खिलाफ नहीं है। इसका उद्देश्य केवल यह कहना है कि हिंसा और अन्याय का शिकार कोई भी हो सकता है, इसलिए हर पीड़ित के लिए समान संवेदनशीलता और न्याय होना चाहिए।

उन्होंने कहा, “महिलाओं के खिलाफ होने वाले अपराधों पर समाज ने हमेशा आवाज़ उठाई है और यह बहुत जरूरी भी है। लेकिन यदि किसी निर्दोष पुरुष के साथ अन्याय होता है और उसकी बात नहीं सुनी जाती, तो यह समान न्याय की भावना के खिलाफ है। हर निर्दोष पीड़ित को न्याय, सुरक्षा और सहानुभूति मिलनी चाहिए।“

सोनू त्यागी ने हाल के चर्चित मामलों जैसे सिया गोयल, सोनम रघुवंशी और मुस्कान रस्तोगी का उल्लेख करते हुए कहा कि इन मामलों ने रिश्तों में विश्वास, पारदर्शिता और सावधानी को लेकर नई चर्चा शुरू की है। उन्होंने कहा कि हर मामले का अंतिम फैसला अदालत को ही सबूतों और कानून के आधार पर करना चाहिए।

उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि कई निर्दोष पुरुष भावनात्मक शोषण, आर्थिक शोषण, ब्लैकमेल, कथित झूठे आरोपों, लंबी कानूनी लड़ाइयों, सामाजिक बदनामी और मानसिक तनाव का सामना करते हैं। ऐसे मामलों में कई लोगों की जिंदगी बर्बाद हो जाती है और कुछ मामलों में आत्महत्या जैसी दुखद घटनाएँ भी सामने आती हैं।

सोनू त्यागी ने कहा कि इन घटनाओं के आधार पर पूरी महिला समाज को दोष देना बिल्कुल गलत होगा।

उन्होंने कहा, “करोड़ों महिलाएँ अच्छी बेटियाँ, माताएँ, पत्नियाँ, बहनें और पेशेवर हैं, जो समाज और परिवार के लिए बहुत बड़ा योगदान देती हैं। यह अभियान महिलाओं के खिलाफ नहीं है। इसका उद्देश्य केवल यह बताना है कि निर्दोष पुरुष भी हिंसा, शोषण, ब्लैकमेल, मानसिक उत्पीड़न और कभी–कभी हत्या के शिकार हो सकते हैं। न्याय सभी के लिए समान होना चाहिए।“

उन्होंने आगे कहा, “न्याय का पैमाना महिला और पुरुष के लिए अलग नहीं होना चाहिए। असली पीड़ितों को पूरा न्याय मिलना चाहिए। लेकिन यदि कोई निर्दोष व्यक्ति झूठे आरोपों में फँस जाता है, तो उसका जीवन भी पूरी तरह बर्बाद हो सकता है। इसलिए निष्पक्ष जाँच और कानून की सही प्रक्रिया सभी के हित में है।“

सोनू त्यागी ने कहा कि इस अभियान का उद्देश्य पुरुषों और महिलाओं के बीच टकराव पैदा करना नहीं है, बल्कि रिश्तों में जागरूकता, मानसिक स्वास्थ्य, कानूनी जानकारी, जिम्मेदार फैसलों और समान न्याय पर संतुलित चर्चा को बढ़ावा देना है।

उन्होंने कहा, “प्यार कभी डर का कारण नहीं बनना चाहिए। शादी कभी जुआ नहीं बननी चाहिए। रिश्ते ईमानदारी, विश्वास, पारदर्शिता और आपसी सम्मान पर बनने चाहिए। चाहे पीड़ित महिला हो, पुरुष हो, बच्चा हो या बुज़ुर्ग—हिंसा किसी भी हालत में स्वीकार नहीं की जा सकती। समाज को हर निर्दोष पीड़ित के साथ खड़ा होना चाहिए।“
