           The Court:- The report submitted by the Registrar, Original Side dated
    
    27th July, 2026, inter alia, stated as follows:
    
                 "The provision of sections 83(1), 83(2) and 117(1) of the
    
                 Representation of the People Act, 1951 has duly been complied
    
                 with by the petitioner in the above referred matter;
    
                 The instant Petition has been filed within the stipulated time (45
    
                 days) from the date of publication of the result of the West Bengal
    
                 Assembly Election 2026, as per Section 81(1) of the Representation
    
                 of the People Act, 1951;
    
                 Moreover the Central Filing Section has scrutinized the said
    
                 Petition U/S 80, 80A, 81, 83, 84, 100 and other applicable
    
                 provisions of the Representation of the People Act, 1951."

          Since the instant petition has been filed complying with the requisite
    
    formalities, the Registrar, Original Side is to serve a copy of the instant
    
    application upon the respondent.

    The Learned Advocate representing the petitioner submitted the

    petitioner to have been subjected to physical assault during the counting of

    the votes and deliberately prevented to enter the polling booth with ulterior

    motive. The prayer (c) in the instant application be granted.

    Considering the specific averments with regard to physical assault

    inflicted upon the petitioner and the ancillary incidents to the prejudice of the

    same, the respondent no.8 authority is hereby directed to preserve the CCTV

    footage of the counting booth of 4th May, 2026 in respect of the petitioner who

    had been a candidate contesting the General Election of the Legislative

    Assembly of West Bengal, 2026.

    Next date be fixed on 18th September, 2026 for compliance report to be

    filed by the Registrar, Original Side in terms of serving notice upon the

    respondents and for further orders.
