1. The present writ petition has been filed challenging the
demand notice dated 17.03.2026, issued by the respondent No.4
– District Transport Officer (Karadhan Adhikari), Jodhpur
whereunder, a demand of Rs. 5,88,155/- was raised towards
motor vehicle tax and penalty against the petitioner in respect of
vehicle bearing Registration No. RJ-19 GF-3736 for a period from
13.01.2019 to 15.12.2025 during which vehicle remained seized
and remained in police custody in connection with offences under
the provisions of NDPS Act.
