I secured my internship at Lex Credence in Pune through my college’s internship and placement cell.

However, those who wish to apply independently may send an application to the partner, Yadnaeseni Gaikwad, at yadnaeseni.gaikwad[at]lexcredence.com.

On my first day at Lex Credence, I completed a form to submit my details and was then introduced to all the associates and the partner of the firm. I was given a tour, which showcased the clean and well-organized infrastructure.

The firm is divided into three separate teams, namely Litigation, Corporate, and Conveyance, each headed by a different partner. My first impression of the partner was positive, as she assigned me various tasks and explained my role.

She also outlined some of the firm’s strict rules, including in-time and out-time requirements, which are strictly enforced.

My main task at Lex Credence involved conducting research under the supervision of a partner. Two associates assigned work related to various cases, many of which were criminal matters. I particularly enjoyed researching the questions they provided.

The firm followed a unique case-note format that we were required to use. I was responsible for finding relevant case laws for the research questions, incorporating them into the case notes, and submitting the completed notes to the associate or partner who had assigned the work by the end of the day.

The work environment at Lex Credence was excellent and professional. The associates interacted like a close-knit family and were very supportive and cooperative.

They worked effectively as a team, and their discussions on various matters were highly informative. I participated in these daily discussions, which helped me learn many new things.

One of the standout features of Lex Credence was its professional and supportive work environment. The associates and partners maintained a positive sense of discipline. The volume of work assigned kept me engaged and motivated to put in longer hours.

The collaborative discussions among the team on each matter were particularly enriching. During lunch breaks, all the associates gathered in the pantry, fostering a family-like atmosphere and including interns in their friendly interactions. I felt welcomed and integrated well with everyone from my very first day.

Another unique and professional aspect was the requirement to present all the work completed over the month to the associates and partners. This end-of-month presentation provided an excellent opportunity to showcase my efforts and receive valuable feedback.

There were some ups and downs during the internship, but I approached them positively. These experiences contributed to my personal and professional growth, ultimately helping me improve.

It was an unpaid internship.

As a resident of Pune, I commuted to the office, primarily by city bus. For those from outside Pune, affordable accommodation options are available nearby.

Many co-interns stayed in the area, where bachelor-friendly lodging is easily accessible due to its proximity to colleges and good local amenities.

The working atmosphere was excellent, with friendly associates and professional presentations. I learned the importance of strict adherence to rules and respect in the workplace.

The experience taught me the value of being prompt and appropriate in all tasks, a vital lesson for my future career.
