    Legal Soch, New Delhi, India

    July 2026

I applied for the internship through LinkedIn after coming across the internship opportunity posted by the organization. I sent a professional message expressing my interest in legal research and practical learning.

Along with the message, I shared my CV and mentioned that I am a first-year B.A. LL.B. student eager to gain exposure to the legal field. After a brief interaction, I was shortlisted and selected for the internship.

On the first day, I was introduced to the team and informed about the workflow, responsibilities, and expectations during the internship. The work environment was professional, organized, and student-friendly. The mentors were approachable and guided the interns regarding research work and drafting assignments.

My first impression was positive because the organization maintained a disciplined yet supportive atmosphere for interns.

During the internship, I was mainly involved in legal research, case law analysis, and drafting short legal notes on various topics. I also assisted in preparing summaries of judgments and researching recent legal developments related to constitutional law, criminal law, and corporate law.

At times, I was asked to prepare content related to legal awareness and current legal issues. These tasks helped me improve my analytical thinking, legal writing skills, and understanding of practical legal work. The internship also gave me exposure to professional communication and teamwork.

The work environment was professional, cooperative, and encouraging for law students. Seniors and mentors were supportive and provided guidance whenever required.

The organization maintained proper coordination among interns and ensured that assignments were completed within deadlines. Even though the work pressure increased at times, the atmosphere remained positive and focused on learning.

One of the best aspects of the internship was the opportunity to gain practical exposure at an early stage of law school. The internship significantly improved my legal research and drafting skills.

The mentors were knowledgeable and always willing to help interns understand legal concepts more clearly.

I also appreciated the disciplined work culture and the opportunity to work on diverse legal topics, which enhanced my confidence and professional understanding.

Although the internship was highly beneficial, the workload occasionally became difficult to manage alongside academic responsibilities. Some assignments had short deadlines, which created pressure for interns.

Additionally, as most of the work was research-oriented, there was limited direct exposure to court proceedings or client interaction. However, these challenges also helped improve my time management and adaptability.

    The stipend of Rs. 3000.

The internship was manageable in terms of accommodation and commuting. Public transport facilities were easily available, making travel convenient and affordable.

The office location was well connected to nearby areas. The overall commuting experience was smooth, and basic facilities such as food outlets and transportation services were accessible near the workplace.

I want to do this internship because it will help me gain practical exposure to the legal profession and understand how legal concepts are applied in real-life situations.

As a first-year B.A. LL.B. student, I am eager to learn professional skills such as legal research, drafting, case analysis, and client handling from experienced professionals.

The purpose of doing this internship is not only to improve my legal knowledge but also to develop discipline, communication skills, and a practical understanding of the legal system.

I believe this opportunity will help me build a strong foundation for my future career in law and allow me to contribute sincerely while learning from the organization.
