Some movies entertain you. Some movies remind you of something important you had almost forgotten.
For me, Hanuman Ansh belongs to the second category.
I watched the film with a sense of warmth because, at its heart, it is a heartfelt creation of the director, a film made with genuine emotion, faith and an authenticity that you can sense throughout.
There is no need for everything to be spectacular. Sometimes, just being sincere is enough…
And there is something very sincere about the way the story has been presented from the very first minute. You can feel the authentic effort not just in the performances, but in the music, the storytelling and the overall treatment.
And perhaps that is what stayed with me the most: the simplicity of it.
We live in a time of constant noise, speed, information and chaos. Everything is designed to make us move faster. Hanuman Ansh, in contrast, makes you slow down. It gently brings you back to your roots, to faith, innocence and the timeless stories that shaped generations before us.
I often feel that divinity is not found in speed and chaos. Divinity asks us to slow down.
And this film, in its own simple way, does exactly that.
The main actor completely submerges himself into the role. There is something very pleasing and innocent about his personality, and his performance carries a natural warmth that makes you want to stay with the character. The actor portraying the younger version also does a wonderful job. Nobody feels unnecessarily larger than the story itself, which works in the film’s favour. In fact, every actor brings sincerity to their part, and that collective effort gives the film its heart.
The film also brings several miracle stories one after another. As someone who comes from a place of faith, I personally enjoyed this aspect. There is a certain childlike wonder in watching these stories unfold. At times, however, I felt the transitions between the miracle sequences could have been smoother. A little more breathing space between them could have allowed each moment to land more emotionally for us, the viewers.
The music deserves special mention. It feels grounding, rooted and connected to the cultural soul of the story. It doesn’t try too hard to impress. instead, it supports the atmosphere and takes you deeper into the world of the film.
What I particularly appreciate is that Hanuman Ansh can be watched with children. Today, our children know superheroes from everywhere. But how many of them know the timeless Masters and stories that belong to their own spiritual heritage?
Hanuman Ansh gives our new generation a chance to discover that world not through a lecture, but through a story.
And sometimes, that is how wisdom is passed on.
As I watched the film, I found myself thinking about how far we have travelled from our roots and how much we sometimes need to return.
Return to faith.
Return to innocence.
Return to simplicity.
Return to ourselves.
As a person of faith, I genuinely loved the film.
Not because it is perfect. It isn’t. But because there is something increasingly rare about a film that carries simplicity, sincerity and devotion at its core.
And sometimes, in a world moving far too fast, a little simplicity is exactly the miracle we need.
