About IRCCL

The Indian Review of Corporate and Commercial Laws (IRCCL) is a practitioner-run law blog that publishes articles by law students and practitioners on developments in Indian corporate and commercial law. Its coverage includes competition law, trade law, employment law, insolvency law, taxation law, and dispute resolution.

About the Role

IRCCL is inviting applications for the position of Student Editor. Selected candidates will work closely with practitioner editors as part of the editorial team and will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing submitted articles, conducting independent research, and editing manuscripts for publication.
  • Managing correspondence with authors and ensuring compliance with editorial timelines.
  • Coordinating with practitioner editors and facilitating the editorial review process.
  • Preparing writing prompts for publication on IRCCL’s LinkedIn page to encourage legal writing on contemporary issues.

The role offers an opportunity to develop editorial and research skills while working closely with practising lawyers in the field of corporate and commercial law.

Eligibility

Applications are open to:

  • Law students in the first to fourth year of a five-year integrated law programme; and
  • Law students in the first or second year of a three-year LL.B. programme.

Applicants should have some experience in legal writing and/or editorial work.

Time Commitment

The role requires consistent commitment and active participation. While there is no fixed weekly time requirement, student editors are expected to communicate proactively regarding their availability, particularly during periods when academic or personal commitments may affect their contributions.

Location

The position is fully remote.
