About the Organiser

KLE Society’s S.A. Manvi Law College was founded in the year 1974 with a vision to provide quality legal education and to produce globally competent law professionals. The College was initially affiliated to Karnataka University, Dharwad and now affiliated to the Karnataka State Law University, Navanagar, Hubballi and is imparting education in the stream of 3 Year Law Course.

About the Competition

The Moot Court Committee of K.L.E. Society’s S.A. Manvi Law College, Gadag under the auspices of K.L.E. Law Academy takes great pride in organizing Third Moot Court Competition, 2026.The competition will provide a platform for students across the nation to showcase their advocacy skills, practical application of laws, to refine their research capabilities, to build their confidence and professional ethics.

Eligibility

The competition shall be open to students who are pursuing 5-year integrated law course/3-year Law course from any centre of legal education recognised by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi.

Team Composition

Each team shall consist of 3 members. There shall be 2 mooters and 1 researcher designated for each team. The researcher will be allowed to argue with the prior permission of Organising Committee in case of non-appearance of the designated mooter.

Fee

Rs. 5000/ with accommodation and Rs. 3000/ without accommodation for a team of three students.

Submission Guidelines

Each team must prepare memorials for both petitioner and respondent side. All the memorials shall be in English language and must not exceed 25 pages subject to the following rules:

  • Each team shall submit 5 sets of memorials (hard copies) (five petitioners and five respondents) on or before 20th May, 2026 along with bonafide certificate.
  • The cover page of the memorials for the petitioners shall be blue and for the respondents shall be in red.
  • Identity of the institution shall not be revealed in any form in the memorials. Only the team code shall be written on the memorials.
  • A soft copy of the memorials (both petitioner and respondent) in the word and pdf format shall be mailed samlcgmoot2026@gmail.com on or before 18 May 2026.

  • Release of Moot Proposition and Rules: 22 nd April, 2026
  • Last date of Registration: 11 th May 2026
  • Last date for seeking clarifications: 15 th May 2026
  • Last date to submit soft copy of memorials: 17 th May 2026
  • Last date to submit hard copies of memorials: 20 th May 2026.
  • Dates of Moot Court Competition: 22 nd , 23 rd and 24 th May, 2026

Prizes

  • Winner: Cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- with Trophy and Certificate
  • Runners up: Cash prize of Rs. 7,500/- with Trophy and Certificate
  • Best Memorial: Trophy and Certificate
  • Best Mooter Female: Trophy and Certificate
  • Best Mooter Male: Trophy and Certificate
  • All the participants will receive Certificate of Merit.
