The Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Science (UPSIFS), Lucknow is a premier government institution established under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Affiliated with the National Forensic Sciences University, it follows an interdisciplinary “law-with-labs” approach integrating legal education with forensic science.

Details about the Event / Opportunity

The competition aims to encourage students to analyse contemporary legal issues under the theme: “Technology, Law and Society: Navigating Emerging Challenges in the Digital Age,” covering areas such as AI, data protection, cyber law, and digital rights.

Eligibility

Open to students from all disciplines across India. Participation can be individual or in teams of two. Cross institutional participation is allowed.

Mode

Online Mode.

How to Submit?

Participants must register and submit via the link given at the end of the post.

Submissions should be approximately 1500 words, in .doc/.docx and .pdf formats, following Bluebook (21st Edition) citation style.

Fee Details

  • UPSIFS Students: ₹100 (Single), ₹150 (Co-author)
  • Other Institutions: ₹200 (Single), ₹300 (Co-author)

Prizes

  • Winner: ₹2,000 + Certificate + Internship
  • Runner-Up: ₹1,500 + Certificate + Internship
  • Second Runner-Up: ₹1,000 + Certificate + Internship
  • Top 3 blogs will be published, along with merit and participation certificates.
