    1. The Court of Special Judge (NDPS Cases) Baramulla, by

    SPONSORED

    virtue of an order dated 8th December, 2025, has discharged

    the respondent as the sole accused person in a criminal case

    borne on File No. 151/2023, titled “U T of J & K through

    Police Station Pattan versus Wali Mohammad Pala.”

    2. The criminal case so put up before the Court of Special Judge

    (NDPS Cases) Baramulla bearing file No. 151/2023

    emanated from FIR No. 182/2023 for alleged commission of

    offence(s) under Sections 8/18 of the Narcotic Drugs and

    Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. Said FIR was

    registered by the Police Station Pattan.

    3. For a very purported deficiency with respect to the filing of

    the final police report in the sense that the final police report
    (Challan) did not carry any forensic examination report

    regarding the nature of the alleged contraband, the sole

    accused person came to be discharged, aggrieved whereof the

    Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs,

    Government of Jammu and Kashmir, by virtue of

    Government Order No. 351-LD(ACQ) of 2016 dated 9th

    January, 2026, accorded sanction for filing of a criminal

    revision before this Court and, for that purpose has authorised

    Mr. Abdul Rashid Malik, learned Senior Additional

    Advocate General, to be the Prosecutor to don the role of the

    Public Prosecutor.
