1. The present appeal has been filed under Section 23 of the
Railway Claims Tribunal Act, 1987 by the appellant – original
respondent challenging the judgment and award dated
08.08.2023 passed in Case No. OA (IIu)/ADI/2022/0076, by
which the claim petition of the respondent – original claimant
was partly allowed and he was given a compensation of
Rs.5,50,000/- with 9% interest per annum from the date of the
incident i.e. 18.03.2022 till the date of the order.
