State-owned UCO Bank on Monday said it has appointed Rajeev Gupta as its chief risk officer (CRO), effective April 14, 2026, as part of a senior management reshuffle aimed at strengthening its risk management framework.
Gupta, who is currently a general manager at the bank, replaces Shashi Kant Kumar, who has been reassigned as zonal head, Mumbai, and will be relieved from the CRO role at the close of business on April 13, the lender said in a regulatory filing.
Gupta, 51, brings over 29 years of banking experience, having worked across branches, overseas centres, zonal offices and corporate departments of the bank.
He holds a commerce degree, an MBA in finance and a postgraduate diploma in banking, and is a certified associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). His experience spans risk management, overseas operations and core banking functions, the bank said.
UCO Bank, headquartered in Kolkata, is listed on the BSE and NSE and operates a nationwide network of branches catering to retail, MSME and corporate customers.
