DSK Legal has advised Terminal Investment Limited (TIL), the container terminal operating and investing arm of MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, in connection with its partnership with Adani Ports and SEZ, pursuant to which TIL will invest for 49 percent stake in Adani Vizhinjam Port Private Limited (AVVPL), the concessionaire for Vizhinjam Port for USD 1.397 billion. Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas acted for Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) on this transaction.
AVVPL is the concessionaire for the development and operation of the Vizhinjam International Seaport in Kerala, being executed on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis.
The transaction marks a strategic partnership between APSEZ and TIL, a subsidiary of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), the world’s largest transport and logistics conglomerate. The deal is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
