Details of the event

Syed Afzaal Ahmad Rizvi Memorial Moot Court Competition,2026 aims to foster excellence in legal research, advocacy, drafting, and court craft among budding legal professionals. The moot proposition this year involves constitutional and regulatory challenges concerning online gaming laws before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of Virat, raising significant questions on legislative competence, freedom of trade and expression and validity of blanket bans.

The Competition will be conducted in offline mode and judged by an esteemed panel comprising members of the judiciary, senior academicians, and legal practitioners.

Eligibility

• Students must be currently enrolled in a 3-year LL.B. programme or a 5-year integrated law programme at a recognised institution.
• Only undergraduate law students are eligible to participate.(c) A maximum of two (2) teams per institution shall be permitted, subject to confirmation by the Organising Committee

• With accommodation – 12,000 per team
• Without accommodation – 8000 per team

The last date for registration is 12th March 2026, and memorial submission is scheduled for 20th March, 2026.
