                                UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following
                                                   O R D E R
    

    1. By judgment dated 11.12.2024 passed by the Judicial

    Magistrate No.2, Bharatpur (Rajasthan) in Criminal Complaint

    SPONSORED

    Case No.163 of 2024, the petitioner was convicted for the

    offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act,

    1881 and sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for two

    years and directed to pay compensation of Rs. 9,50,000/-, in

    default whereof, to undergo simple imprisonment for a

    Reason: further period of six months. Aggrieved thereby, the

    petitioner preferred Criminal Appeal No. 5 of 2025 before

    the Additional Sessions Judge No. 4, Bharatpur (Rajasthan),

    which came to be dismissed by judgment dated 29.11.2025.

    Thereafter, the petitioner filed Criminal Revision Petition

    No. 149 of 2026 before the High Court of Judicature for

    Rajasthan Bench at Jaipur, along with Application No. 24 of

    2026 seeking suspension of sentence. By the impugned order

    dated 19.05.2026, the High Court dismissed the said

    application. Hence, the present Special Leave Petition.

    2. After arguing the matter for some time, learned

    counsel for the petitioner submits that in support of the

    prayer for suspension of sentence, the petitioner is willing

    to deposit the compensation amount of Rs.9,50,000/- (Rupees

    Nine Lakhs and Fifty Thousand only) by way of a Demand Draft

    in favour of the Registrar, Supreme Court of India, New

    Delhi. For this purpose, he seeks one week’s time.

    3. Acceding to the said request, list the matter after

    one week.
