    [1] Heard Mr. M. Hemchandra, learned senior counsel assisted by

    SPONSORED

    Mr. Juno Rahman, learned counsel for the petitioners appearing through

    video conferencing.

    [2] The thirteen petitioners are the priority household card holders

    from Chandel District under National Food Security Act, 2013 and Pradhan

    Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PM-GKAY) Scheme. As the petitioners

    have not been provided adequate benefits from the year, 2022, they filed

    representation in this regard and in the order dated 17-10-2025 passed by

    this Court in WP(C) No. 424 of 2025, the respondents were directed to

    dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioners as per law within

    a period of two months. Thereafter, the District Supply Officer (CAF&PD),

    Chandel District, Manipur passed an order dated 19-01-2026 in compliance

    of the order dated 17-10-2025 passed by this Court stating that the

    distribution of food items under the National Food Security Act, 2013 and

    PM-GKAY Scheme are satisfactorily done except some minor errors on the

    part of the beneficiaries while entering names and putting signatures in the

    application/letter submitted to the Deputy Commissioner and also the

    internal village crisis. It is also stated that the impugned order was passed

    on the basis of the enquiry conducted by one Inspector, Mr. B. Banka

    Sharma, Civil Supply Inspector, who is respondent No. 4.

    [3] Mr. M. Hemchandra, learned senior counsel for the petitioners,

    submits that the impugned order dated 19-01-2026 is without applying mind

    and the food items allocated to the petitioners and other beneficiaries are

    not in terms of the NFSA, 2013 and PM-GKAY Scheme.

    [4]          Issue notice.
    
    [5]          Mr. Th. Sukumar, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice
    
    on behalf of respondent Nos. 1, 2 & 3.
    
    [6]          Petitioners are directed to take steps to respondent No. 4 by speed
    
    

    post within one week and file an affidavit of proof of service.

    [7] Learned Government Advocate prays for three weeks’ time for

    filing counter affidavit.
