    Heard Ms. J. Das, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. P. S. Lahkar,
    learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam.

    2. This application under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 has been filed by the
    petitioners namely, Paritosh Baishnab, Aashu Baishnab @ Pijush Baishnab, Rathan
    Baishnab @ Bappan Baishnab, who are apprehending their arrest in connection with
    Silchar P.S. Case No. 333/2026 under Section 296/117(2)/76/3(5) of BNS, 2023. The
    list of accusation in this case is that on 28.03.2026 one Sujit Baishnab had lodged an
    FIR before the Officer-in-Charge of Tarapur Town Outpost under Silchar Police Station
    inter-alia alleging that the present petitioners who are named as accused in the FIR
    have on 26.03.2026 at about 6:30AM assaulted the informant and his wife causing
    injuries on their persons.

    3. The learned counsel for petitioner submits that the petitioners as well as the
    informant are tenants staying in common premises and there used to be occasional
    altercations amongst them. She further submits that on the alleged on the same date
    i.e., on 26.03.2026 also there were some altercations between them. However, the
    accusation of the assault and causing injury made in the FIR has been exaggerated by
    the informant. She submits that the petitioners are ready to cooperate with the
    investigation. On the other hand, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor prays for
    calling of the Case Diary.

    4. Let the Case Diary be called for.

    5. Let this matter be listed on 27.07.2026.

    6. In the meantime, the petitioners are directed to appear before the Investigating
    Officer of Silchar P.S. Case No. 333/2026 and co-operate in the investigation. If they

    do so within the stipulated period of time, in the event of their arrest in connection
    with the aforesaid case, they shall be allowed to go on interim bail of Rs. 30,000/-
    each with one surety of the like amount subject to the following conditions:-

    (i) That the petitioner shall co-operate in the investigation; and

    (ii) the petitioner shall not directly of indirectly make any inducement,
    threat or promise to any person who may be acquainted with the facts of
    the case so as to dissuade such person from disclosing such facts of the
    case before the Investigating Officer.

    7. Let this matter be listed accordingly.
