This is an appeal against the impugned judgment dated
13.12.2023 and related order of sentence dated 21.12.2023 passed by the
Court of the learned Special Judge (POCSO), Ri-Bhoi District, Nongpoh in
POCSO Case No. 22 of 2015 under Section 6/7 of the POCSO Act and under
Section 376(2)(i) IPC.
Mr. R.H. Alice, Legal Aid Counsel appearing for the appellant has
submitted that there are good grounds for preferring of this appeal and the
same may be admitted.
Mr. R. Gurung, learned GA appearing on behalf of the State
respondent has no objection to the admission of this appeal.
On consideration of the submission made, and on perusal of the
memo of appeal, we are inclined to admit this appeal, the same is hereby
admitted.
