This is an appeal against the impugned judgment dated
27.01.2026 and related order of sentence dated 24.02.2026 passed by the
Court of the learned Sessions Judge, West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin in
Sessions Case No. 3 of 2022, whereby, he was convicted and sentenced to
undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 10(ten) years with fine of ₹
3000/- (Rupees three thousand) only, and in default thereof, to undergo
simple imprisonment of 4(four) months for an offence punishable under
Section 376(2)(f)(k)(l)(m) IPC.
Mr. S.P. Mahanta, learned Sr. counsel/Legal Aid Counsel
appearing for the appellant has submitted that there are good grounds for
preferring this appeal and the same may be admitted.
Mr. Atiar S. Dey, learned GA appearing on behalf of the State
respondent has no objection to the admission of this appeal.

On consideration of the submission made, and on perusal of the
memo of appeal, we are inclined to admit this appeal, the same is hereby
admitted.
The Trial Court records are hereby called for, on receipt of the
same, registry to prepare the paper book and place it on the records.
List this matter after 3(three) weeks.
