Lawctopus Law School was also shortlisted for the prestigious Agami Prize and has recently been selected for the 10-month-long Stanford Seed Program, which supports the growth of organisations from South Asia with revenues between USD 300,000 and 15 million.

    We are a 30-people-strong, 100% remote organization that values care, learning, action, and accountability. Our work is organized, disciplined, and performance-oriented. We are currently scaling, and our revenues have increased 2x compared to the last financial year.

    About the Role

    The Senior HR & Placements Manager will own end-to-end HR operations, employee experience, and people processes, while also building strong employer relationships and driving internship and placement opportunities for Lawctopus Law School learners.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle management.
    • Manage HR operations, including payroll coordination, PF/ESIC compliance, HRMS, leave and attendance, employee records, and HR documentation.
    • Drive employee engagement through team celebrations, recognition initiatives, and culture-building activities.
    • Support performance management, feedback cycles, and implementation of HR policies.
    • Track HR metrics and continuously improve people processes and systems.

    Placements & Career Services

    • Build and manage relationships with law firms, companies, chambers, and in-house legal teams to create internship and placement opportunities.
    • Drive employer outreach, placement drives, career events, and other career-focused initiatives.
    • Support learners with career opportunities and coordinate with employers throughout the hiring and placement process.
    • Track employer engagement and placement metrics and continuously improve placement outcomes.

    Eligibility

    • 4–10 years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, HR operations, career services, or placements.
    • Hands-on experience with HRMS, statutory compliance (PF/ESIC), and HR processes.
    • Experience in building employer relationships, managing placements, or career services will be an advantage.
    • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Strong ownership, execution ability, and attention to detail.
    • Experience in education, edtech, legal services, or professional services is preferred.

    Salary

    INR 10–12 LPA

    • OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) keep our various teams aligned for the medium-term and long-term agenda.
    • KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) help each team member know what they must get done.
    • Meetings and huddles: Short meetings where major tasks, challenges, and goals are discussed.
    • Project management and internal team communication are done over a software called Basecamp.
    • We expect you to work for 7-8 hours/day; the exact timings are up to you till the deadlines are met.
