    The petitioners, have challenged FIR No. 28/2025, registered with

    SPONSORED

    Police Station Economic Offence Wing Srinagar, Crime Branch,

    Kashmir alleging commission of offences under Section 409, 419, 420,

    467, 468, 471, 120-B of IPC.

    Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners

    were employees of M/s Unitech Power Transmission Limited (UPTL)

    and as per the scope of the contract which the said company had

    executed with M/s Sterlite Power Grid Ventures Limited, the company-

    M/s Unitech Power Transmission Limited (UPTL) had only to

    reimburse the amount of compensation and were not responsible for

    disbursement of the compensation, therefore the petitioners have been

    unnecessarily impleaded as accused in the impugned FIR.

    Issue notice to the respondent.

    Notice be sent to the respondent through Ms. Maha Majeed, learned

    Assisting Counsel to Mr. Mohsin Qadiri, learned Sr. AAG. Learned

    counsel for the petitioner shall furnish a copy of the petition to Ms.

    Maha Majeed, learned Assisting Counsel who may file her response by

    next date of hearing. Status of investigation shall also be furnished.

    In the meantime, in case the respondent intends to file challan against

    the petitioners the same shall not be done without prior permission of

    this Court.
