Event Details
The upcoming edition of the S Krishnamurti Endowment Lecture Series is being planned on 10th April 2026. Former Chief Justice of India Justice M.N. Venkatachaliah will be delivering the lecture on the topic “Revisiting Constitutional Reform: Reflections on the National Commission to Review the Working of the Constitution.”
Justice M.N. Venkatachaliah is a renowned jurist and former Chief Justice of India. He served on the bench of the Supreme Court from 1987 to 1994, and was the CJI between 1993-94. During his tenure, Justice Venkatachaliah authored various landmark decisions in several high-profile cases. Post his retirement, he has continued working on anti-corruption and human rights issues, notably serving as the chair of the National Human Rights Commission from 1996-1998 and was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second highest civilian honor in 2004.
