By filing the present revisional application, the petitioners seek
quashing of the proceedings in Case No. C-692 of 2023 under Sections 420
and 120B of the Indian Penal Code, pending before the Court of the learned
Judicial Magistrate, 7th Court, Alipore, South 24-Parganas.
It appears that opposite party no. 2 filed an application under
Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure before the Court of the
learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore, alleging, inter alia, that accused
no. 1, Oravel Stays Private Limited (OYO), a hotel aggregator, along with its
Director, accused no. 2, approached the complainant, pursuant to which an
agreement dated June 25, 2019 was executed between the parties.
