The Police Inspector, Rajajinagar Police Station has filed
the charge sheet in Crime No.5/2025 against the accused
alleging commission of offence punishable under Section
103(1) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
2. The learned XXXII A.C.J.M. Bengaluru has
committed the matter to this Court through the Committal
Order dated 9.5.2025 passed in C.C. No.9471/2025 against
the accused.
3. The accused is in judicial custody.
4. The case of the prosecution in gist is that, on
10.01.2025, between 8:15 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., in front of
House No. 509, 7th Main, 44th Cross, 4th Block, Rajajinagar,
Bengaluru, within the limits of Rajajinagar Police Station, the
accused demanded money from his father, Ramachandra, for
consuming alcohol. When his father refused, a quarrel
ensued. During the course of the quarrel, the accused with

the intention of causing the death of his father, assaulted him
by repeatedly striking him three to four times on the back of
the right ear/head with a steel rod measuring about two feet
in length. As a result, Ramachandra sustained grievous
bleeding injuries and succumbed to the injuries at the spot.
Thereafter, the accused disposed of the steel rod used in the
commission of the offence by throwing it in the K.L.E. College
playground. During the course of investigation, the
prosecution claims to have collected incriminating evidence,
including the statements of eyewitnesses, recovery of the
material object, the post-mortem report and the FSL report,
which according to the prosecution establish the guilt of the
accused for the offence charged and after completion of the
investigation filed the charge sheet against the accused.
