    Collins Aerospace is hiring a Principal Specialist, Contracts to manage complex contractual matters, negotiations, legal risk assessments, and commercial agreements. The role involves working with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support business and operational objectives.

    Eligibility

    Candidates applying for the role should have:

    • A Bachelor’s degree
    • LL.B. qualification preferred

    Additionally, candidates should have:

    • 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree,
      or
    • An advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years’ experience,
      or
    • 9 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree

    Essential Requirements

    • Experience in contract negotiation, particularly non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong English language proficiency
    • Flexibility to support meetings with US East Coast teams outside regular IST working hours

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in a law firm or legal environment focused on transactional law or commercial contracts
    • Experience in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Six Sigma
    • Experience working in large matrixed organisations

    Responsibilities

    • Drafting, reviewing, interpreting, negotiating, and managing complex agreements
    • Advising on negotiations and contract administration matters
    • Conducting legal risk assessments and executing agreements
    • Acting as the primary contact with customers and suppliers for contractual matters
    • Advising management on contractual rights, obligations, and risk mitigation
    • Resolving business and technical issues through legal solutions
    • Managing small projects and processes independently
    • Coaching junior team members and reviewing peer work
    • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
    • Developing customer and supplier-specific templates and standard work processes
    • Maintaining historical records and analysing contractual data
