1. The institution of a civil suit on File No.
OS/6840/2025 on 30.12.2025 by the respondent
No. 4, purportedly acting through its sole trustee
Mahant Subash Shah, has a sole defendant who is
the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar.
2. The relief claimed in the civil suit is recovery of
possession of Baba Bajrang Dev Temple situated
at Sathu Barbar Shah, Bishamber Nagar, Srinagar
and also seeking mandatory injunction decree
upon the sole defendant i.e., the Deputy
Commissioner, Srinagar to take steps for mutating
the name of the respondent No. 4 in the revenue
records qua the said Temple and all other
properties of the said Temple. A decree of
permanent prohibitory injunction has also been
solicited.
