    About PLRC

    The Punjab Legal Rights Consortium (PLRC) is a student-led legal organisation committed to promoting legal awareness, academic excellence, and meaningful dialogue through research, publications, events, and collaborative initiatives.

    PLRC is inviting submissions for the inaugural edition of its newsletter, providing law students with a platform to showcase original legal writing and engage with contemporary legal issues.

    Themes

    Submissions may be based on any one of the following themes:

    Authors may choose any one of the above themes. Covering all three themes is not required.

    Eligibility

    The call is open to undergraduate and postgraduate law students.

    Submission Guidelines

    • The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other publication.
    • AI-generated or AI-assisted content is strictly prohibited.
    • Co-authorship is permitted for up to two authors.
    • Each author may submit only one manuscript.
    • A plagiarism report is optional but strongly encouraged.
    • The maximum permissible plagiarism is 20%.
    • The manuscript should be between 1,500 and 2,000 words.
    • Citations must be provided through hyperlinks only. Footnotes are not required.
    • The manuscript must be in Times New Roman, 12 pt font, with 1.5 line spacing.
    • Each submission must include an abstract of 150-250 words and 4-6 keywords.
    • Manuscripts must be submitted in both .doc/.docx and .pdf formats.
    • The file name should be in the following format: PLRC Newsletter_Author Name_Title of Article.
    • Author details must be submitted only through the Google Form. The manuscript must not contain any identifying information.

    Review Process

    All submissions will be evaluated on the basis of originality, relevance to the chosen theme, quality of research, clarity of expression, and overall merit. The editorial team may request revisions, where necessary.

    Publication

    Selected manuscripts will be published in the inaugural digital edition of the PLRC Newsletter (Volume I, Issue I).

    Important Dates

    • Last date for submission: July 22, 2026
    • Publication decision: July 27, 2026

    Certificates

    • Publication certificates will be awarded to the authors of the five selected articles.
    • Certificates of participation will be awarded to all authors who submit eligible manuscripts in accordance with the submission guidelines.
