About Central University of Karnataka
The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) was established by an Act of Parliament (No.3 of 2009) at Kalaburagi, Karnataka. It is one of the 16 new Central Universities established by the Government of India during the GCI Plan Period to address the concerns of ‘equity and access and to increase access to quality higher education.
The university has a campus of 654 acres near Kadaganchi village in the district of Kalaburagi, Karnataka State. It is claimed that CUK is the first university to move to its permanent campus among the new ones.
The main objective of this growing University is to integrate teaching, learning, training, research, innovation, and skill development with an aspiration to excel in undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral studies.
About the Department of Law
The Department of Law was established in 2019 to set a new benchmark of excellence in higher legal education in India. The object is to pursue steady steps toward excellence.
To strive towards an acclaimed center of excellence in teaching and research in the field of legal studies, nurture students’ talent and skills for their inclusive growth, and contribute to strengthening the rule of law.
At present, the Department is providing LL.M. and Ph.D courses, and from this year onwards, the BA.LL.B. course has also been started.

Mission Nyayadrishti Samvad: A Marathon Lecture Series of 100 Online Lectures on the Occasion of Vikshit Bharat 2047
The Department of Law, School of Legal Studies, Central University of Karnataka, proudly initiates Mission Nyayadrishti Samvad—a marathon weekly pro bono lecture series comprising 100 online lectures, envisioned to shape the future of legal education in India.
This mission aligns with India’s vision of Vikshit Bharat 2047 and directly contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
Held every Friday, this program will run for two to three years, offering learners a flexible platform for continuous academic enrichment beyond regular curricula. The mission bridges the gap between academia and learners, fostering dialogue, critical thinking, and global exposure.
Structure of the Programme
- One lecture will be held each Friday.
- The mission will continue for a minimum period of 2 years and a maximum of 3 years.
- Lectures will be broadly from the following 10 domains of law:
- Phase- 1: Constitutional Law (10 Lectures)
- Phase 2: International Law (10 Lectures)
- Phase 3: Jurisprudence (10 Lectures)
- Phase 4: Environmental Law (10 Lectures)
- Phase 5: Personal Law (10 Lectures)
- Phase 6: Commercial Law (10 Lectures)
- Phase 7: Intellectual Property Rights (10 Lectures)
- Phase 8: Law of Crimes (10 Lectures)
- Phase 9: Legal Research Methodology (10 Lectures)
- Phase 10: Human Rights Law (10 Lectures)
- 100 Lectures will be organized in the same manner until the mission is accomplished.

Eligibility for Resource Person
- The resource persons shall be a Doctorate Permanent Faculty of any UGC-recognized institution, or
- Shall be an industry expert with 10 or more years of experience in the particular field of law chosen for delivering the lecture.

- The recorded lectures and the PPT shall be available under the Resources section of the website.
- An official appreciation letter for the lecture issued by the Department of Law, Central University of Karnataka.
- All lectures shall be compiled in book form under the respective speaker’s name and designation and shall be published with an ISBN by the Department that shall be released and sent to the Government of India on the occasion of Vikshit Bharat 2047.
