About URF 2025
By virtue of the provisions in section 5 of The National University of Advanced Legal Studies Act 2005, University is empowered to institutefellowships, scholarships, prizes and medals.In order to encourage young scholars in research leading to Ph.D. degree it is necessary to institute fellowships for Ph.D. research scholars.
Eligibility
The University shall invite application in the prescribed format for the award of URF from full time research scholars who have already registered themselves as candidates for the Ph.D. degree in the University
Fellowship Guidelines
- This fellowship shall be known as University Research Fellowship (URF) for the full time research Scholars
- The Fellowship shall be awarded by Executive Council on the recommendation of a selection committee constituted by the Vice-Chancellor.
- The number of Fellowships that may be awarded each year shall be decided by Executive council from time to time.
- The amount of fellowship and contingent grant shall be prescribed by University from time to time.
- The tenure of the fellowship shall be maximum of three years.
How to Apply?
Candidates seeking fellowship 2025-26 shall submit the duly filled in applications in the prescribed format with all necessary documents to registrar@nuals.ac.in.

The last date for receipt of filled in applications online is 30/04/2026.
