                                               O R D E R

1. The parties have been able to arrive at an amicable settlement

before the Supreme Court Mediation Centre.

2. The Settlement Agreement dated 20-2-2026 has been reduced into

writing duly signed by the parties, their respective counsel and

the learned Mediator, Supreme Court Mediation Centre.

3. The Settlement Agreement read thus:-

“SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT

“This Settlement Agreement is entered into between Petitioner-
Ms. Neha Singh W/o Mr. Ankur Chauhan, D/o Inderjeet Singh (here
in after referred to as Petitioner/wife) R/o B-37, Sector 4C,
Shatabdi Nagar, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh – 250103 and Mr. Ankur
Chauhan S/o Mr. R.S. Chauhan R/o Flat No-554, Plot No-1,
Bahawalpur CCHS, Dwarka, Sector-4 (here in after referred to as
Respondent/Husband).

1. Whereas the marriage between the petitioner and
respondent/husband was solemnized as per Hindu rites and
ceremonies on 11.06.2023 at Meerut. After marriage parties
resided together at Delhi and there is no issue out of said
wedlock.

2. Both the parties resided together as husband and wife
till 21.03.2024, and thereafter disputes and differences
arose between the parties and since then the Petitioner Wife
is staying with her parents at Meerut. The respondent husband
filed divorce petition no. HMA/2714/2024 dated 24.08.2024

3. Whereas the Parties have filed following cases against
each other:-

(i) Divorce Petition No. HMA/2714/2024 dated 24.08.2024 under
Section 13(1)(ia) of HMA, 1955 filed by respondent husband
pending before the Court of Principal Judge, Family Court,
Dwarka seeking dissolution of marriage.

(ii) FIR No. 435/2024 at Police Station Partapur, Meerut u/s 498A,
323, 504 IPC r/w section 3&4 of Dowry Prohibition Act filed by
the Petitioner Wife is pending before the Special Chief
Judicial Magistrate, Meerut. The next date of hearing is on 2
April, 2026.

(iii) Petition No. 5447/2024 u/s 12 of Protection of Women from
Domestic Violence Act before SCJ-6, Meerut, against Ankur
Chauhan, respondent husband, Ram Singh Chauhan (father-in-law),
Smt Savita Chauhan (mother-in-law).

(iv) Complaint case under section 200 CrPc vide Registration No.
14913/2025, filed by petitioner wife, under section 406 of IPC
pending before A.C.J.M, Meerut. Next date of hearing is 10
March, 2026.

(v) Petition No. MC/285/2025 u/s 12 of Protection of Women from
Domestic Violence Act filed by petitioner wife’s mother-in-law,
Savita Chauhan against the petitioner is pending before Chief
Judicial Magistrate, First Class, Dwarka. Next Date of hearing
is 19 March, 2026.

(vi) Quashing petition, Application No.4829/2026 u/s 528 BNSS filed
by respondent husband is pending in the Allahabad High Court.

(vii) Complaint case vide Ct Case No. 502/2025 filed by husband
respondent against petitioner wife before JMFC, Dwarka, New
Delhi and is now disposed of.

(viii) Transfer Petition (C) No. 70 of 2025 filed by the
Petitioner Wife regarding the divorce case before Hon’ble
Supreme Court

4. Whereas Hon’ble Supreme Court vide Order
dated 04.02.2026 in Transfer Petition (Civil) No. 70 of 2025
has referred the matter to Supreme Court Mediation Centre.
Comprehensive mediation session was held between the parties
and their respective advocates on 20.02.2026 physically
(physically for signing of the present Settlement Agreement).

5. Both the parties hereto have arrived at an amicable
settlement on the following terms and conditions for
dissolution of marriage by mutual consent:-

A. That the parties have agreed that the Respondent-husband shall
pay to the Petitioner-wife a total sum of Rs. 32,50,000/-
(Rupees Thirty Lakhs and Fifty Thousand Only), in one go,
towards full and final settlement of all her claims towards
her permanent alimony, Stridhan, maintenance (past, present,
future) and any other claim whatsoever before Hon’ble Supreme
Court of India at the time of hearing of application under
Article 142 of The Constitution of India by bank demand draft
payable at Delhi in the name of petitioner- wife that shall be

handed over to the petitioner wife in the court on the next
date of hearing.

B. It is agreed between the parties that they will move an
application jointly before the Hon’ble Supreme Court under
Article 142 of Constitution of India praying for dissolution
of marriage as parties are staying separately since 21.03.2024
i.e. for approx. 2 years and there is irretrievable break down
of the marriage.

C. It is further agreed between the parties that if Hon’ble
Supreme Court is pleased to allow application filed by both
the parties under Article 142 of Constitution of India then
both the parties shall withdraw all the cases filed by them
against each other, mentioned in paragraph 3 above and any
other cases related to matrimonial dispute against each other
or their family members, if any.

D. That both the parties will not speak to each other or their
family members, either personally and / or will not post
anything against each other through social media or through
any other modes in future.

6. That the Petitioner and the Respondent have agreed that
none of them will initiate any other legal action or complaint
against each other or against the family members of each other
in respect of their matrimonial dispute in future.

7. That subject to the aforesaid terms, the parties have
resolved all the disputes amicably in relation to the marriage
and have been left with no claims against each other or their
respective family members.

8. That by signing this Agreement the parties hereto solemnly
state and affirm that they have no further claims or demands
against each other including maintenance, or any movable or
immovable property and all the disputes and differences have
been amicably settled by the parties hereto through the
process of mediation.

9. The parties undertake to abide by the terms and conditions
set out in this Settlement Agreement, which have been arrived
with free will of the parties without any coercion, duress or
collusion and parties undertake not to raise any dispute
whatsoever henceforth.

10. The contents of this settlement – agreement have been
explained to all the parties through their respective counsels
and they have understood the same.”

4. The original Settlement Agreement is ordered to be taken on

record and the same shall be kept with the record of the case.

5. The parties are directed to abide by the terms and conditions

of the settlement without fail.

6. In accordance with the terms of the Settlement, the husband

has agreed to pay a total sum Rs.32,50,000/- (Rupees Thirty Two

lakh and Fifty Thousand Only) to his wife.

7. Today, the parties are personally present in the Court. The

Demand Draft drawn on the HDFC Bank, Dwarka, Sector 5 is being

handed over to the wife.

8. All proceedings between the parties, civil and criminal stand

terminated.

9. In terms of the said settlement, the marriage between the

parties stands dissolved in exercise of our jurisdiction under

Article 142 of the Constitution.

10. The Registry shall draw a decree accordingly in terms of the

settlement.

11. We clarify that the criminal proceedings which were instituted

by the wife against the husband shall not come in the way of the

husband insofar as his career prospects is concerned.

12. The Transfer Petition stands disposed of accordingly.

13. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
