The National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG), under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Government of India, focuses on strengthening governance through research, training, and policy reform.

About the National Centre for Good Governance Internship 2026

The NCGG Internship Programme is a short-term engagement ranging from 8 weeks to 6 months. It offers students exposure to governance and public policy issues while working across various domains.

Interns may be assigned specific areas and contribute to research and policy-related work. The internship is temporary and does not guarantee employment.

Public Policy & Governance; Laws & Regulations; E-Governance; Rural Development & Poverty Alleviation; Public Service Delivery; Healthcare Governance; Sustainability & Urban Governance; Infrastructure & Disaster Management; Innovation & Entrepreneurship; Water Resource Management.

Eligibility

Open to Indian students (in India or abroad); graduates, postgraduates, or final-year students (including law and engineering); maximum age 30 years; Letter of Recommendation required.

₹10,000 per month (pro-rata)

Duration

8 weeks to 6 months

  • Apply between the 1st and 10th of every month, preferably at least one month before the intended start date.

Selection Process

Application screening followed by a personal interview (online/offline). Final selection is communicated via email.
