Starting in May 2024, all Milbank lawyers and Business Services employees with business travel activities are entitled to a BahnCard Business 50 1st class from Deutsche Bahn. The BahnCard Business 50 1st class grants a number of benefits, most importantly a discount of 50% on the standard price for a 1st class ticket.
All employees are encouraged to choose the train as their means of transportation for domestic business travel. The BahnCard may also be used for private purposes.
Milbank expects this to result in significant COâ‚‚ savings compared to other means of transportation for business trips. According to Deutsche Bahn, the electricity for all long-distance trains are generated from renewable sources. Deutsche Bahn’s Bahn Business also offsets emissions that are generated directly or indirectly via atmosfair.Â
