We are pleased to share highlights from the inaugural event of the Cambridge–NLU Delhi Centre for Research in Global Policing.
The event marked the formal launch of the Centre with the unveiling of its official logo, followed by an engaging Masterclass by Prof. Sandip Sukhtankar on “Governing Justice: The Case for Evidence-Based Policy in Indian Policing and the Justice Sector.”
Bringing together academics, policymakers, members of the judiciary, police officers, researchers, and students, the Masterclass explored how rigorous empirical research can inform policing reforms and strengthen justice institutions. The discussions underscored the importance of evidence-based policymaking in building more effective, accountable, and responsive justice systems.
As the Centre’s inaugural programme, the event reflects our commitment to advancing research, dialogue, and collaboration on policing and criminal justice in India and across the world.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) G. S. Bajpai, Prof. Sandip Sukhtankar, Dr. Vineet Kapoor, our colleagues, partners, and all those who joined us on this special occasion.
