LexTech: Centre for Law, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation is a research centre dedicated to exploring the intersections of law and emerging technologies. With a focus on FinTech, AI, TMT, Online Gaming & Betting Laws, and Data Privacy, LexTech promotes interdisciplinary research, capacity building, and responsible tech adoption.

The First Edition of Article writing competition
The LexTech Article Writing Competition is an annual initiative aimed at fostering meaningful academic discourse on contemporary legal and regulatory developments in technology law. The inaugural edition, organised in collaboration with Nishith Desai Associates, Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, and SCC Times, received over 160 registrations and more than 100 submissions from leading law schools across the country. The competition offered participants valuable opportunities for internships and publication while encouraging research on emerging areas of technology law.
About the Second Article Writing Competition
The Second Article Writing Competition invites students to engage in critical legal research under the theme “Regulatory Gaps in India’s Digital Ecosystem.” Participants are encouraged to explore the sub-themes as detailed in the brochure attached. Please note that the sub-themes are merely suggestive, and participants are encouraged to explore novel ideas under the broad theme.
Eligibility & Team Composition

Open to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law students, including those enrolled in integrated law programs, from recognized universities.

Participation is permitted individually or in teams of two (cross-institutional teams allowed).

No limit on the number of teams registering from a single institution.
Submission Guidelines
Participants are required to submit an original and unpublished article between 1,500 and 2,000 words, complying with the formatting and citation requirements specified in the brochure. The manuscript must be analytical in nature, maintain anonymity, and comply with the prescribed plagiarism and AI usage policy.
