ORAL ORDER
2 13-07-2026
Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the
petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing
on behalf of the State.
2. The accused/petitioner apprehending his arrest in
connection with Muffasil P.S. Case No. 162 of 2012 registered
for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 447,
448, 436, 425, 427, 323, 324, 325, 307, 395, 354, 506, 504 of
the Indian Penal Code.
3. While making submissions of learned counsel for
the petitioner, the Court noticed that petitioner has approached
this Court for anticipatory bail after a delay of 14 years from the
date of lodging of the FIR. On this ground alone, this Court is
not inclined to grant the benefit of anticipatory bail.
4. Accordingly, the anticipatory bail application of the

2/2
petitioner is rejected
5. However, if the petitioner surrenders and seeks
regular bail, then his prayer for regular bail shall be considered
on its own merit, without being prejudiced by this order.
