National Law University Delhi successfully hosted the 14th Edition of Jurist Speaks – Eminent Scholars Lecture Series, featuring Prof. Upendra Baxi, Distinguished Professor, NLU Delhi and Emeritus Professor of Law at the Universities of Warwick and Delhi, on 21 April 2026 at the Moot Court Hall.

Prof. Baxi delivered a deeply engaging lecture on “Hyper-Delegation of Legislative Powers – A Constitutional Necessity or Erosion?”. In his lecture, Prof. Baxi examined the implications of expanding legislative delegation for democratic accountability, separation of powers, and constitutional governance.

 

The lecture was conducted under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Chair for Professional Ethics, NLU Delhi. The session witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and the University community, fostering meaningful academic dialogue on contemporary constitutional issues.
