About Neev Juris
Neev Juris is a boutique law firm which specialises in compliance, data privacy, consumer litigation, and real estate due diligence and documentation. As an early-stage firm, Neev Juris works closely as a small team, taking on high-responsibility client mandates from day one, and delivering efficiently for their clients.
About the Opportunity
Neev Juris is looking for a Legal Associate who can plug into multiple practice lines at once, learn quickly, and execute diligently under supervision. This candidate is expected to move between corporate advisory notes, DPDP compliance projects, and real estate documentation support, often in the same week. The ideal candidate should be curious, precise, and comfortable researching unfamiliar regulatory questions from scratch.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Draft and review corporate advisory notes, contracts, NDAs, vendor agreements, and terms of service under senior supervision.
- Support DPDP Act, 2023 compliance engagements — privacy notices, consent frameworks, DPIAs, vendor/Data Processing Agreement assessments, and gap/remediation reports.
- Conduct regulatory research across sectors (consumer protection, labour law, sector-specific rules) and prepare clear, well-cited research memos.
- Assist with real estate due diligence and documentation — title and encumbrance checks, sale/lease/gift deed drafting and review, RERA compliance basics.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and counterparties on documentation and follow-ups as directed.
- Support matter management and client deliverables.
Eligibility Criteria
- LL.B. (3-year or 5-year integrated) from a recognised university; enrolled with a State Bar Council and cleared AIBE.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience — strong fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong legal drafting and research fundamentals.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Working proficiency in MS Word/Excel; comfort adapting to AI-assisted tools.
Preferred / Good to Have
- Prior internship exposure to corporate law, data privacy, compliance advisory, or real estate transactions.
- Working familiarity with the DPDP Act 2023, IT Act 2000, Companies Act 2013, or RERA.
- Any coursework or certification in data privacy/compliance (a plus, not mandatory).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
