September 2025

Sent an internship application via email.

I was introduced to the team, and they were introduced to me as well. A brief explanation was given about how the work would be allotted and how it was to be submitted.

Since it was an online internship, all communication took place in a group with the associates and partners.

During the internship, I drafted replies to legal notices, prepared case briefs, and conducted extensive legal research on diverse laws, including the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, Companies Act, 2013, and various labour, data protection, real estate, and urban development regulations.

The work provided practical exposure to legal drafting, statutory interpretation, and application of laws.

The work environment was extremely friendly and welcoming. I could freely ask questions or clarify doubts regarding my assignments in the group, and the associates patiently explained every detail.

This supportive atmosphere made the internship a valuable learning experience, encouraging open communication and continuous improvement throughout the engagement period.

All the members were extremely approachable and always available to clarify doubts or explain concepts, making the learning experience smooth and engaging. Deadlines were communicated beforehand, allowing efficient time management.

I also had the opportunity to explore diverse areas of law, including South Africa’s data protection laws, which provided valuable exposure to different kinds of work and legislation, broadening my legal understanding and practical insight.

Since the internship was conducted online, opportunities for one-on-one interaction and direct mentoring were limited. Regular virtual check-ins or feedback meetings could make the experience even more engaging.

Since it was an online internship, I was not required to commute to the workplace. All tasks, communications, and discussions were conducted virtually through online platforms.
