First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, and First Impression
Asked to fill an internship form. A cozy place located in a quiet locality and a professional working environment; read the Annual Report of the Foundation and the India Justice Report.
Main Tasks
I was given the task to make a report on the IJR 4, 2025. I also got the task to make a report on the importance of legal aid workers in prison. I read the Bihar Law Judgements journal of the month of October and made notes of excise, bail, and POCSO cases.
I also did court visits to various courts in Patna and observed the proceedings. I was given the task to carry forward research on prison statistics of Bihar, caste-wise, and make a report on it. I also got the opportunity to attend Lok Adalat, which was an enriching experience.
Work Environment
The Law Foundation helped me to get an insight into the socio-legal world. Everyone in the office, as well as in the courts, was helpful. I was guided carefully, and my tasks were explained well.
On making a mistake, I was also corrected in a timely manner. Everyone was friendly while being professional. Co-Founder Praveen Sir gave wonderful insights into the socio-legal world as well as the educational world.
Good Things about the Internship
It was an amazing learning experience. Interning for the first time, I was unaware of the field. Even after being a starter, I was treated professionally and given tasks. The research throughout helped me get better at research and writing and get a better hand at legal language.
Bad Things about the Internship
Although not a “bad thing,” I was unfortunate not to get a chance to do a community or jail visit during my internship at the Law Foundation. Although I would have loved visiting, it was still a great experience.

Details about the accommodation and commuting to the Office
I accommodated myself at my house and commuted using a scooty, a 15–20 minute drive from home.
Anything else you’d like to share?
When coming to the office, during breaks I used to take a stroll around and go for tea nearby.
