First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, and First Impression
On joining, we were introduced to the associates and advocates working at the firm and acquainted with the overall functioning of the office. Artis Law House is a leading corporate law firm in Kerala, known for its expertise in corporate advisory, dispute resolution, insolvency, and property law.
The orientation provided a clear picture of the firm’s professional ethos and its emphasis on quality legal services. The firm also highlighted its technology-driven systems, operating within a fully automated and advanced legal framework, which enhances efficiency and accessibility in delivering services.
Main Tasks
- Exposure to both academic and practical aspects of corporate law.
- Learning modules on SARFAESI Act, insolvency proceedings, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Participation in classes and submission of internship reports.
- Researching property laws and assisting in advisory roles.
- Conducting case law searches to support ongoing litigation.
- Observing the firm’s research-oriented approach, where associates emphasized continuous study of evolving laws, regulations, and precedents to craft innovative solutions.
- Understanding the firm’s boutique specialization in corporate, insolvency, financial, and taxation laws, and how advisory services are tailored to client needs.
- Exposure to “Gyan Groups,” the firm’s initiative for knowledge-sharing and debating emerging legal trends, which fostered collaborative learning.

Good Things about the Internship
This internship was my first real insight into the functioning of a corporate legal system.
The associates were polite, approachable, and treated interns as part of the team, fostering a supportive learning environment. The emphasis on precision, foresight, and ethical practice was inspiring.
Bad Things about the Internship
There were no negative experiences during the internship. The atmosphere was consistently encouraging and professional.

It was an unpaid internship.

Being based in Thiruvananthapuram, commuting was convenient. The firm’s location near a bus junction ensured easy accessibility.
