About the Conference

The Global Justice and International Law Conference (21 & 22 August 2026) is envisioned as an academic and policy-oriented forum bringing together scholars, legal practitioners, judges, diplomats, researchers,
and students to examine how international law responds to contemporary global challenges.

The theme “Global Justice and International Law: Principles, Challenges, and Future Directions” explores how international law seeks to create fairness, accountability, and equality in a world made up of sovereign states with unequal power, resources, and influence.

At its core, global justice is concerned with what is fair and just at the international level not just within states, but across borders, especially in relation to human rights, peace, development, and environmental protection.

International law provides the legal framework through which these ideals are expressed, negotiated, and enforced.
