[1] Captioned criminal appeal is a regular life appeal under
Section 374 (2) of erstwhile ‘Cr.P.C.’ { ‘Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973
(2 of 1974)’}
[2] Mr. Th. Jugindro Singh, learned counsel on record for
appellant along with Ms. Kh. Rupashree Devi, learned advocate, is
before this Court (physical Court). Mr. R.K. Umakanta, learned senior
advocate and State Public Prosecutor instructed by learned State
Counsel Mr. W. Niranjit Singh is also before this Court.
[3] After hearing the matter for some time, learned counsel on
both sides requested for time but for different cases.
[4] While Mr. Th. Jugindro Singh, learned counsel for appellant
requested for time to examine and work on some more aspects of the
matter before continuing his submissions, learned State Counsel
requested for time to produce the case diary and for presence of an
officer from the police station concerned, preferably, an officer/personnel
who was part of the investigation team.
