ORDER
(22.05.2026)
01. This Court directs the learned Principal District Judge,
Udhampur, to transfer the suit file which has been
preferred by taking recourse to Order 33 of the J&K
Code of Civil Procedure, Svt. 1977 to the court of
learned Principal District Judge, Reasi so as to salvage
the institution of the suit of the petitioners, in terms
whereof the petitioners as plaintiffs, have come forward
asking for compensation relatable to the death of their
son, Pawan Singh, who is said to have suffered

electrocution on 14.03.2012 at Banganga (Katra), district
Reasi.
02. Upon transfer of the civil suit file to the court of learned
Principal District Judge, Reasi and upon entertaining of
the suit on its file, the petitioners are reserved with their
right to approach this Court seeking transfer of the civil
suit by reference to the fact that they are residents of
district Udhampur and are economically weaker persons
not in a position to pursue their civil suit before the court
of learned Principal District Judge, Reasi by undertaking
travel and other related expenses which in the event of
the civil suit being adjudicated by the District Court,
Udhampur would not be accruing to the petitioners.
03. The petition is thus, disposed of, accordingly.
