    01. 1. Heard Mr. A.K. Sahoo, learned counsel appearing for the
    appellant-husband.

    2. The appellant-husband, as the petitioner before the
    learned Judge, Family Court, Cuttack, instituted Civil Proceeding
    No.761 of 2013 under Section 13(1)(i-a) of the Hindu Marriage
    Act, 1955
    , seeking a decree of divorce in respect of his marriage
    with the respondent-wife, which was solemnized on 30.06.2010.

    3. After hearing the parties and considering the materials
    adduced before it by them, the learned Judge, Family Court,
    Cuttack by the impugned judgment dated 18.05.2026 allowed
    the said Civil Proceeding No.761 of 2013 on contest and
    directed the appellant-husband to pay Rs.23,00,000/- (Rupees
    Twenty Three lakhs) to the respondent-wife as permanent

    alimony.

    4. Aggrieved by the said judgment dated 18.05.2026, the
    husband as appellant has preferred this appeal under Section 19
    of the Family Court’s Act, 1984 read with Section 28 of the
    Hindu Marriage Act.

    5. Issue notice to the respondent-wife along with a copy of
    this order.

    6. The appellant shall take steps for service of notice upon
    the sole respondent by Speed Post with AD. Requisites for
    issuance of notice by Speed Post with registration and proof of
    delivery shall be filed within next three working days.

    7. Call for the scanned copy of the Records of Civil
    Proceeding No.761 of 2013 from the Court of learned Judge,
    Family Court, Cuttack, which was disposed of on 18.05.2026.

    8. List this matter after due service of notice upon the
    respondent-wife.

    9. Liberty to mention.
