The Police Inspector of HSR Layout Police Station filed
charge sheet against the accused Nos.1 and 2 for the offence
punishable U/Sec.20(b) & 22(b) of N.D.P.S. Act.

2. The case of the prosecution in nutshell is as
under:-
On 1.10.2018 at 2.30 pm., the Police Inspector of CCB
W&N Squad, Bangalore was in the office he received credible
information about drug trafficking on the footpath, opposite
to Hotel Udupi Palace, 24th Main Road, 2nd Sector,
Parangipalya, Bangalore. He informed the said information
to his superior in office, secured two mahazar witnesses, staff
members and went to the spot and saw two suspected
persons in the said spot. He along with his staff surrounded
the suspects and apprehended them. On personal search of
the accused persons he found 4 grams of MDMA, 24 grams of
54 ecstasy tablets and 5 Kgs., of ganja. He seized those
articles under seizure mahazar. Subsequently, he took the
accused along with seized articles to the police station,
handed over the accused and seized articles with a report to
the Station House officer. On the basis of the said report,
Station House officer registered a case in Cr.No.344/2018 for
the offence punishable U/s.20(b) & 22(b) of NDPS Act against
the accused. Consequently, the accused were arrested and
produced before the jurisdictional Magistrate for further
action.
