About the Organiser
FLAIR ‘26 is organised by the Law & Technology Committee, School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), in collaboration with the Fashion Law Journal.
CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was established in 1969 and is administered by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) congregation. It has multiple campuses across India and offers multidisciplinary education including law to about 25,000 students.
School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, is a leading law college ranked among India’s best according to the NIRF 2023 rankings. It is approved by the Bar Council of India and offers extensive infrastructure and practical legal education.
Law and Technology Committee (LTC) is SLCU’s premier research and advocacy initiative that explores the intersection of law and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and Data Protection. The LTC promotes academic excellence through webinars, competitions, publications including its newsletter “GIZMO,” and the committee website.
Fashion Law Journal (FLJ) is an academic platform dedicated to research in Fashion Law, covering intellectual property, AI, sustainability, e-commerce, and other legal issues in the fashion industry. It provides publication and research opportunities to students and practitioners.
About the Competition
The inaugural edition, FLAIR ‘26 (Fashion Law, AI & Innovation Review), is a legal writing competition designed as an annual initiative to encourage discourse where fashion, law, and technology converge. It invites law students across India to submit original manuscripts as Research Articles, Case Analyses, or Case Studies.
The competition promotes interdisciplinary scholarship on topics such as intellectual property, artificial intelligence, digital commerce, sustainability, and technological innovation in fashion law.
Eligibility
- UG law students enrolled in recognized Three-Year LL.B. or Five-Year Integrated LL.B. programmes in India.
- PG law students enrolled in recognized LL.M. programmes in India.

Submission Guidelines
Participants must submit one original manuscript under any of the following categories: Research Article, Case Analysis, or Case Study.
They should review the competition brochure and submission guidelines provided via the official drive link before submission.
Mode
The competition is conducted virtually with submissions and registrations handled online.
How to Register?
Participants must register and submit their manuscripts through the designated online form linked in the competition brochure. Strict adherence to timelines and submission guidelines is required.

Prizes
- Winner: Cash prize, publication in the Fashion Law Journal, and editorial internship opportunity with the Journal.

- Top 20 submissions will be published on the Law & Technology Committee’s official website.
- Certificates of merit for winners and finalists.
