Purpose of the Fellowship:
The Fireflies Fellowship recognises participants who have demonstrated commitment, curiosity and leadership during the Fireflies programme, and offers them an opportunity to continue contributing to the movement they have helped build.
Over three months, Fellows will work alongside the Greenpeace South Asia team to strengthen the Fireflies community, amplify its stories and learning, and help shape its future direction. They will also contribute to the continued evolution of the Digital Imaginarium by strengthening its methodology, nurturing participant engagement, and exploring pathways that connect digital storytelling with collective action.
The fellowship is designed not only as an opportunity to contribute, but also to experiment, learn and co-create models that can strengthen climate storytelling communities across South Asia.
Scope of Work:
1. Strengthening and Growing the Fireflies Community
The Fellow will contribute to the continued growth and evolution of Fireflies by:
Community Building
- Develop and implement an engagement plan for the Fireflies community.
- Design opportunities for continued learning, collaboration and peer exchange among participants.
- Support community communications across WhatsApp and other digital platforms.
- Identify opportunities for alumni leadership and long-term community participation.
Storytelling and Communications
- Consolidate participant testimonials, stories and reflections from Fireflies.
- Develop communication assets that amplify the impact of Fireflies, including videos, social media content, participant stories, recruitment materials and WhatsApp communications.
- Support the redevelopment and strengthening of the Fireflies website.
Programme Learning and Development
- Document key insights and learning from previous cohorts.
- Contribute to the design and testing of future Fireflies models, formats and engagement pathways.
- Support the development of resources that strengthen future programme delivery.
2. Strengthening the Digital Imaginarium
The Fellow will support the continued development of the Digital Imaginarium as both a methodology and a growing community.
Programme Delivery
- Co-plan and co-facilitate a Digital Imaginarium alongside the Fireflies team.
- Support participant engagement before, during and after the Imaginarium experience.
Community Development
- Co-design the engagement journey for Imaginarium participants beyond the workshop experience.
- Explore opportunities to nurture an ongoing Imaginarium community that encourages continued storytelling, collaboration and action.
Documentation and Knowledge Building
- Document and develop a practical toolkit on planning, facilitating, documenting and evaluating a Digital Imaginarium.
- Develop examples of how Imaginariums can evolve into community-led initiatives and support on-ground action.
3. Deliverables (shared across multiple fellowships)
- Social media and digital assets to support Fireflies engagement (recruiting, onboarding and continued engagement)
- Content and final content plan to promote a digital imaginarium
- Facilitation of at least one digital imaginarium
- Creation of detailed agenda and facilitators guide for digital imaginariums
- Engagement plan for digital imaginarium participants including post imaginarium next steps
- Engagement plan for Fireflies lab community
- Participation in Fireflies lab capacity building (as a tech support, trainer or facilitator)
