DTDC Express and India Post have entered into a strategic collaboration aimed at improving logistics connectivity and delivery access across the country.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on April 27 in New Delhi between Neeraj Kumar Jha, General Manager, Parcel Directorate, Department of Posts, and Abhishek Chakraborty, CEO of DTDC Express Ltd., in the presence of senior officials from DTDC.

The collaboration brings together India Post’s nationwide postal infrastructure and DTDC’s logistics network to strengthen delivery services, particularly in regions with limited or uneven access to organised logistics.

According to the companies, the partnership is currently operational across 21 states and has expanded service coverage to over 9,000 additional pin codes.

The initiative comes at a time when logistics demand from smaller towns and rural areas continues to grow alongside India’s expanding consumption base.

The integration is expected to improve delivery reach and consistency in such locations, where last-mile connectivity has often been a challenge.

For users, the development is expected to translate into wider service availability, improved delivery access in remote areas, and more consistent shipment timelines across regions. Businesses, including small sellers and online retailers, are also expected to benefit from broader geographic coverage for order fulfilment.

The companies noted that the collaboration is intended to strengthen overall logistics connectivity by linking existing postal infrastructure with private sector logistics systems, with a focus on improving reach and reliability across the delivery network.
