The petitioner and the respondent No.3 have filed a joint
affidavit alongwith their respective undertakings in the aforesaid
petition as well as in the connected petition i.e., Crl.Petn.No.19
of 2025, in view of the amicable settlement between the parties.
To the joint affidavit, are annexed the respective undertakings of
the petitioner and the respondent No.3. The respondent No.3 in
her undertaking has agreed to give her no objection to the
quashing of the proceedings initiated at her behest as against
the petitioner and his family members. The proceedings are as
under:

“i. Title Suit No.27(T) of 2024 filed by me pending before
the Court of Assistant to Deputy Commissioner (Judicial),
Shillong;
ii. C.R. Case No.71(T) of 2024 under the Protection of
Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 filed by me
pending before the Court of the Judicial Magistrate First
Class, Shillong;
iii. F.R.R. dated 16-11-2024 registered as Laitumkhrah
P.S. Case No.212 of 2024 under Sections 498-A/323 IPC
and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom;
iv. Any other connected proceedings arising out of the
matrimonial dispute between the parties.”
2. The respondent No.3 has agreed to withdraw the said
proceedings/no objection in view of the amicable settlement
between the petitioner and her i.e., on receiving an amount of
₹32,00.000/- by way of full and final settlement. The respondent
No.3 has also agreed to dissolve the marriage with the petitioner
by way of mutual consent.
3. By this petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of the FIR
registered against him with Laitumkhrah Police Station, being
P.S. Case No.212/2024, for the alleged offences punishable
under Sections 498-A, 323 of the IPC and further proceedings.

4. It appears that, in the meantime, during the pendency of
this petition, chargesheet has been filed against the petitioner.
5. Considering the amicable settlement between the parties
i.e., the petitioner and the respondent No.3, who are husband
and wife, respectively, the proceeding emanating from the FIR
No.212/2024 registered with the Laitumkhrah Police Station,
shall stand stayed for a period of six months to enable the
parties to comply with their respective consents.
6. Stand over to 21st December, 2026.
